Step by step instructions to planning a trip of a lifetime

Your Uncharted journey begins with the first phone call or email and doesn’t end till you have returned home. You play a dynamic role in the design of your itinerary, after all, this is your trip! We get to know you; we ask questions, we listen and we offer insight, expertise and choices. Generally, within 48 hours of your first call, we design your trip, check on property availability and send you an itinerary. We also include a proposed budget – excluding international airfare. If you’re pleased, we move on to all the details that make your trip run smoothly – passports, visas, airfare, insurance, those dreaded shots. If you’d like to nip and tuck the itinerary a bit, we work with you until we get it right. Closer to departure, we’re just a phone call away for last minute details or any questions that you might have.

> Itinerary Planning & Design
What are your preferred dates of travel, including international air travel time? You decide the size of your party. Whether it’s just yourself, you and your spouse, the entire family or a group of friends. Uncharted Outposts specializes in intimate groups – it’s all about the experience. It is imperative for all trip planning to start with confirmed international air reservations.
> Proposal & Quote
Usually within 48-hours, we will e-mail you a proposed itinerary. If it needs some tweaking, we’ll work with you until we have the perfect itinerary in place.
> Deposit & Confirmation
When you are ready to confirm, we’ll send you a deposit invoice - the amount will vary with each itinerary and destination. Once your deposit is received, your trip is considered a confirmed booking, and we send your "Welcome Aboard" packet which will include all your pre-departure information: booking forms, travel tips, information on passports, visas, travel insurance, and shots you may need.
> Final Payment & Bon Voyage
Final payment is due 60-days prior to departure and we will then re-confirm and finalize your travel arrangements. Just before departure you will receive your "Final Packet" from us which will include your final trip information: emergency contact details and any additional final documentation that you will need.

Back Home: Trip Evaluation

It’s important for us to know how you enjoyed your trip and what were the high points of your travels. And if there were any problems, we want to hear about that as well.
