Uncharted Outpost trips are meticulously planned and executed so that our travelers feel pampered and confident every step of the way. Our staff is well traveled and knowledgeable; there is no place we have not been, no lodge unvisited – nothing left to chance. We know our hosts and guides personally, most are long-time friends and our clients are welcomed as family. So whether you are tracking the "Big Five" in the Masai Mara, canoeing the Zambezi Rive in Zambia or navigating your way through a semmingly endless herd or sheep on a remote road in New Zealand, each and every activity is led by the premier guides in that country. Each evening your guide will join you for an intimate dinner party where the storytelling and adventure will continue.

Working on your Behalf

The concept of Uncharted Outposts is based upon working in the traveler's interest rather than the individual properties and camps. We do not own these properties, therefore, we do not have the pressure or responsibility to sell one location over another or to simply fill beds. We remain unbiased and offer sound advice based upon our first hand knowledge.

Firsthand Experience

We recognize the importance of continued travel to experience first-hand the many destinations we proudly represent. Each of us at Uncharted Outposts travels to all of our destinations at least once a year to remain in touch and up to date. With each trip, we discover new areas and properties in order to expand our horizons and knowledge. Every client's safari design and preparation is handled by one of our consultants from the beginning to the end. Yet behind the scenes your safari consultant teams up with our other consultants regarding all aspects of your trip. Usually, our entire office is involved at some level with the details of your particular trip so that each traveler's safari gets our full attention.

Highly Selective

We appreciate that you are busy and don’t have the time to spend hours trawling through reams of information on the net. Instead we've done the hard work for you - our team of experienced world travellers have spent decades identifying those "little gems", which are often so difficult to find (most do not appear in guide books or travel brochures). Our quality goal is that if we wouldn’t want to stay there ourselves we won’t offer it to you. Hotels do NOT pay to be on the website; in this way we can select exactly who is featured on our site.

Detailed and opinionated

We understand the importance in travel of knowing what to expect before you get there, so each accommodation featured has several sections of information and numerous photos to help you decide which is the right place for you. Since we have been to most of the properties on our website we will give you our honest opinions about the place and do our absolute best to match you and your parties to the best hosts and properties. We believe the reason you contact us in the first place is to get our opinions about camps and lodges and that is exactly what we do.
